Year Three…who will it be?

Chosewood Park has taken the crown two years in a row.

Will they win again, or is it time for a new neighborhood to become champion?!

All six competing bands have at least one person who lives in our surrounding neighborhoods. They’ll have 25 minutes on stage and must play at least 2 originals and 1 cover. The audience will choose the winners the old-fashioned way… via a ballot box. Democracy! Ballots will be cast at 5:45 pm, and winners will be announced at 6 pm.

A: The film festival will be held for 1 day on Monday, March 3rd, 2025 from 6pm to 10:30pm. In the future we hope to have a multi-day festival!

Q: How many short films will be screened?
A: We will be screening 10 short films selected by our judges.

Q: Do I need to bring an ID or meet a minimum age requirement to attend the event?
A: The festival is open to all ages. However, please be prepared to show ID upon arrival. Attendees aged 21 and over will receive wristbands to help bar staff identify them.

Q: What types of films will be screened at the festival?
A: The Simply Weird Film Festival features short films across a variety of genres, including comedy, horror, animation, Science Fiction, and more. Our goal is to present a diverse and captivating lineup that caters to various tastes and interests, though some may not be suitable for young children. All films are less than 15 minutes in length.
